Kamrunag Lake is located near the temple. Every year a huge crowd of devotees come to the fair organized in this temple. According to old beliefs, people throw gold, silver jewelry, or money in the lake. Based on this tradition, people say that there is a treasure worth billions of rupees lying at the bottom of this lake.
Dev Kamrunag is considered to be the God of rain. Kamrunag deity Kamrunag dav ji is mentioned in the Mahabharata. His other name is Babarubhan Ji. He was one of the most powerful warriors on earth, but he was defeated by Krishna's policy. He had said that he would see the war between the Korvas and Pandavas and would support the one whose army started losing. Even Lord Krishna got scared after hearing this. This small pitcher could not be filled even with 50 lakh liters of water
Every year, hundreds of years old history are repeated in the temple of Shitala Mata in Pali district of Rajasthan. There is a pitcher situated in this temple which is half a feet deep and wide, this pitcher is opened for the devotees to see. Today, for about 800 years continuously, this pot is brought before the people only twice a year. Till date, more than 50 lakh liters of water has been filled in it, but this pot is never filled with water. People believe that a demon drinks its water, due to which the water pot never gets filled. Even the team of scientists has not been able to find out the reason yet.

The story behind this pitcher is that eight hundred years ago, a demon named Babra used to live in this place. Who had troubled the whole village? Whenever someone got married in the house of Brahmins, this demon would kill the groom. The Brahmins, fed up with the demon, did penance to Mata Shitala. After performing penance, Mother Sheetala appeared in the dream of a Brahmin of the village and promised to kill that demon. When the time of marriage came in that village, the mother there killed the demon by strangulating it with her knees. During this time the demon asked for a boon from Mata Shitala that he feels more thirsty in the summer. Therefore, he will have to water it twice a year. Mother Shitala gave him this boon.
